A day

I took the metro after some time again today. A ride that I’ve been taking almost on all weekdays for the past two years now.
Everything felt different and I found myself out of place. On getting out of the metro, people started moving fast leaving me behind. There was a rush at the metro gate and I looked around to find some familiar faces but all I got to see were the tensed faces of people. People who were running late, people who weren’t happy and people who were happy. I don’t know for sure, I just saw and tried reading.

Now I’m writing this in the metro and it’s not as full as it usually is because I left a bit early. I have plenty of space to stand and I had planned to read a book but choose to listen to a few songs.

It’s a normal day in the lives of people in Delhi NCR. Welcome to it.

Thanks for reading one of the random and absurdly ending post. Do tell me how you’ve been.

Sliced Apples

Thoughts Of A Crooked Mind

Warning: This is not a fiction.

I was standing and reading my book in the metro while a fellow traveler who happened to have a seat was eating his apples. Now the apples were sliced and were nicely placed in the little round container. He was munching on them and occasionally offered them to his friends as well. The box came into my sight a few times, as the train moved and so did my book and the apples would come into sight.

I all of a sudden had this thought, a funny one I should mention. The thought was what if I pick one of the slice from the box very discreetly, would that guy even notice? I mean he was busy talking. And then I laughed to myself and wrote the incident down.

If that guy or someone from the group is reading, then next time please offer…

Your kind of Monday

Hey there, today is Monday and I’m ready to leave for work. You see Mondays are usually disliked by people around the world. This could be because the work starts again, a lot of us go back to the same old routine, that same familiar route, and the same desk.

The desk where you would sit hunched and stare at your laptop, some of you will code while some will make calls and others will switch between Excel sheet and word documents. But then again this is the life that we have made for ourselves. This is how we live, pretty much like Robots but we are aware of our likes and dislikes. However, we do little about it and back in time each one of us started with a dream, with a vision to do something.
I myself had thought that I’ll maybe do creative writing and work for National Geographic but my interests are dwindling and I did not take that path. A path that could have made me happy but was there any guarantee? No, there wasn’t and I kind of chickened out. And chose this life where I find myself behind a laptop made by Dell and if you were to see me you’d find me picking up the phone receiver made by a company called Beetel. Yes, I like to get into details and observe things closely.

So, I was telling you about Mondays and stuff. What made me write this post was the fact that after the weekly company meeting today everyone broke off and I saw groups forming like instantly and people were catching up and sharing lives. Some got busy with their laptops and were planning their days and as you can guess, I am sitting here looking at people and writing this post. I really don’t have anyone to talk to about my weekend and I actually like it this way.

And a few of you might be aware of the fact that I end my posts abruptly and before you start connecting the dots you’ll realize that I am actually done writing.

I’ll write here again one of these days. Ignore any mistakes that you may find.

Garmi ka ek din

Hello again. I recently invested in a diary and now my aim is to put it to a good use. Today, I wrote a short story and a sher. Now you will have to wait for the sher because this post will have the story. Read it and let me know your views. 🙂

Feeling short?

Update : I’m actually standing near giants. Yes, I’ve never felt this short all my life. The guy on my right is at least 6’4 (he is touching the metro ceiling), the one in front of me must be around 6’3 and then I looked around and there are at least 7 individuals who are either 6 feet tall or even more.

And I must be close to 5’5. I know life isn’t fair.

Also should I ask?- How’s the weather up there?

Din dhal jae

Yeh subah subah meri kamre ki khidki ke bahar ka nazara hai. Aksar ise dekh kar kuch shayari, kahani ya koi poem likhno ko jee chahta hai par afsosan yeh ho na saka. Ek reluctance sa hai kuch dino se.
Behraal ek gaana bhi yaad aata hai. Kahi door jab din dhal jaye.
Sharing the song’s YouTube version for you. Aur haan ek na ek din main zaroor is photo par koi kahani ya fhir koi poem zaroor likhunga aur umeed hai aap yaha padhne ke liye zaroor honge 🙂
