Din dhal jae

Yeh subah subah meri kamre ki khidki ke bahar ka nazara hai. Aksar ise dekh kar kuch shayari, kahani ya koi poem likhno ko jee chahta hai par afsosan yeh ho na saka. Ek reluctance sa hai kuch dino se.
Behraal ek gaana bhi yaad aata hai. Kahi door jab din dhal jaye.
Sharing the song’s YouTube version for you. Aur haan ek na ek din main zaroor is photo par koi kahani ya fhir koi poem zaroor likhunga aur umeed hai aap yaha padhne ke liye zaroor honge 🙂

Stories behind the photographs

So, they say that every photograph should tell a story and that it should talk or it should make one wonder. Now the thing is I like to get feedback from people who show interest in the photographs that I show to them, I like hearing their views and opinions and it also tells me who they are or what do they notice and prefer.

A lot of people, friends have told me and asked me to write something about every photograph that I showcase to the world. Keeping that in mind, from now on I am going to write something either about the photograph or how I took it. I now have two windows open- on one, I am writing this post and the other one has this photo (see below).

I randomly decided to take the camera to work with the hope that I might click something nice, so I mounted my favorite lens i.e. Nikon 50mm f1.8 and kept the camera in my bag.

Today I was certain that during my small breaks I was going to use the camera and click some pictures and there was a phone lying next to the lens cap and I snapped a few shots. The picture below it is of the book which I started reading a day earlier, it’s called Blind Willow Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami. Now, everyone takes a picture where the book is in focus and everything is nice and visible so I though let’s blur our that part and focus on something else. Once I got back home, I uploaded the photographs on my laptop and started cleaning them up (like color adjustments, crop etc.) and these are one that I managed to take nicely.

From now on with every photograph, I plan to write something.

Hope you enjoyed reading. Let me know and share your captures as well.

House Sparrow

My new telephoto lens had been in the camera bag for a while. I was almost thinking that buying that wasn’t a good decision and the investment wasn’t wise. So, today when I woke up I saw that the weather was nice and the birds usually came to the balcony to eat/take the grains of rice. I grabbed my camera and got on the floor, half on the balcony and half inside and aimed my camera at these little birds. Over 50 photographs and I get a few good ones. I am sharing them here with you all. 🙂

Diary page and a photograph

Returning home

What a day to travel in metro. I’ve a book in my hand which I’m trying to read and I’ve got three groups of people around me. One on the left and two on the right and all three groups are talking real loud and occasionally one of the members of each group laughs loudly.  There are other people talking to each other but their voices become inaudible because of other groups.

Reading isn’t really possible right now so I’m writing this. I’ll try and read after posting this. Anyway the weather changed today and this is how it looked a few minutes ago.

Buses and even odd

There is odd-even happening in Delhi between 15th – 30th April. Cars with even numbers are allowed on even dates and odd numbered cars on odd dates. This means a large number of people start using buses and other public transport. Now, most buses are usually crowded almost on every work day but it is my belief that it gets worse during this phase. This morning I boarded a super crowded bus because I had no other options, I simply didn’t know when the other one would come and I was getting late.

I grabbed the door and got into the bus and couldn’t go far because there was no space and everyone stood in weird positions, just a few kilometers and it might get better was my thought. But then comes the next stop and some people board the bus and surprisingly I see myself moving inside, one leg moves and then two others and yes I am now in the middle with my bag in my hand and I navigate and find a position that is comfortable enough for me so I can stand with my head free but I was sandwiched for most of the journey. This sums up the journey I guess.

Now coming to the photograph. I took this other night while returning home. I was late and the bus wasn’t crowded, so I read The Book Thief for a while and then I started taking photographs. I am almost done with that book and might even write something about it. Next, I am going to pick up Sherlock Holmes!

Nope!

I was going to close this tab yet again. This was me staring at the screen yesterday and I had nothing to write or the things were simply too cluttered in my mind, yes I’d prefer going with the latter.

Last time I posted was almost a month ago and the post I made wasn’t really my best one. This too is not an exceptional post, believe me. I have nothing great to write, but I am uploading a photograph so that this blog becomes a little active. Exams are almost over now and I expect to start blogging again. How have you been dear reader?IMG_20160312_180206-01

Childhood

image

Found this stuck in a window, I wonder who made it. Some kid or could be an adult as well? Who’s brave enough to be an adult and a child both.
