Back again

Hey there!

How is life? How are you?

These are the two questions I ask almost everyone and in return, I really expect genuine answers. See, I have told this a lot of times (to myself and to a couple of people) that I am someone who likes conversations. This isn’t a new habit and I have been like this for as long as I can remember.

A few of you who have been my companions through this blog might have an idea about the kind of an individual I am or maybe not. And the only reason you are reading this post is because it is a personal blog. The whole idea of the personal blog is to post stuff that you really want to post. I will have a more serious blog made where I can post serious stuff. How does that sound to you?

When I started this, I made a promise (not really) that I will post whatever I’d want here and so far I’ve followed that. I have posted random stuff, ranging from sad poems to happy poems, photographs, short stories, random stuff I managed to think of and what not?

So, this post is simply to remind you all that I am alive. Yes, I also had received a few messages and a few appreciations (awesome right?). So, a few wonderful people asked me why J isn’t posting enough while some just wrote to tell me that my blog is nice and they liked what they read. All this got me wondering. Let it be, I do wonder a lot anyway.

Here are a few things that you should know:

  1. I haven’t read a book after January this year, bad Reader’s Block and I’m trying to overcome that. Recently picked up ‘The Ministry of Utmost Happiness’ by Arundhati Roy. Go read, ‘God of Small Things’ if you still haven’t from her.
  2. Yeah, that’s pretty much it. This isn’t a gossip. Okay?
  3. You can check my Instagram, I managed to be active there and posted some crazy stuff. (@rehmanjafar)

Now, let me ask you a question- How have you been?

Will be great to reconnect with all of you (new and the old ones). Feel free to comment or write to me at jafarrehman@hotmail.com

Until next time!

Weekends

Phew! It was a busy weekend. Nah! I wasn’t traveling or taking pictures but had a little bit of emergency here but since all of that is done now I thought how about I pay my blog a visit and write something, you know have a little conversation with people with whom I interact through comments?

So, for a long time I had been planning my weekends- I’d do this and that and this. Well, this time, I thought of trying Netflix (they give one month free in the start) and wanted to catch up on so many shows, one being House of Cards but that couldn’t happen.

Also, I have decided to spend a minimum amount of my time on internet because of the undeniable fact that it is sheer wastage of time and makes you feel bad. More time shall go in reading books, writing stories, practicing calligraphy and also meeting people. People from Delhi here? How about a meet?
Now, before it gets too random I am gonna take my leave and get back to sorting things. Also, time to go offline and live.

And yes, how have you been?

Good to be back

Right, I just have to remind myself that this is a personal blog and I can actually write about anything and everything. I don’t have to put much thought to things here. I will just write here and maybe someone will read it and form an opinion or they will simply ignore it. See that’s the great thing about having a blog like this, you are free to write and post complete random stuff. I write poetry, short stories and what not right here.

So, last say 15 days have been really weird for me, I’ll tell you that I had to undergo a surgery called Septoplasty. So, it is a surgery where the deviated nasal septum is removed( in my case it was removed, a six inch long bone).

Now before the surgery, I was pretty cool since this was my second and I thought this would be less painful than the earlier ones. Oh man, I have never been this wrong in life, this was really uncomfortable. Now I know that I should write a post about the surgery and what to expect and what not and that might actually help people who might be considering going in for this surgery. Super stuffy and an irritated nose and yeah I started bleeding from the nose as well when they removed the packaging from the nose. Had to keep the bandage for a few more days which was painful but not as much as receiving a catheter down your nose(and into your sinus cavity I guess) for suction because believe me that is painful.

I haven’t read a book after the surgery, mainly because my head was throbbing and I had to wipe the blood that usually drained from my nose for a few days after the surgery. Now that is over, my nose continues to heal, my breathing will get better with time and the problem I had will hopefully be solved. I now have no NASAL SEPTUM and no TONSILS.

Plans now is to get back to work and to read and write and breathe more. That was me and my condition, how about you?

For sometime I have only been posting photographs and the last one I posted was on 1st of November.  There are reasons for the delays but we are not getting into that right now, pulling  your attention on something else- I’ve been scribbling things on pieces of paper whenever I get inspiration and horror and mysteries are the things I wrote. I will post them sometime soon, maybe during the diwali break. For now, I am attaching the photograph I took a few days ago.
Hope you’ll are doing great. I’ve missed blogging. Sorry if you find the photograph over edited. I’ll attach the original version here. Thanks for reading till here.  🙂
Stay Awesome.

Saturday

Well, these days I don’t have much to say. No I take that back, I have much to say but I can’t put it all into words, things are scattered. But I miss blogging, I haven’t written in a long time.  Take this post as a sign that I am still active here and don’t plan to go away from blogging.
Well I am reading “The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Şafak” and it is pretty amazing. I’ll post a review after I am done and maybe share some great quotes from the book as well. What are you reading these days?

Hey there!

People the truth is that I still haven’t got used to this new reader wordpress introduced several months ago. I start to read here and then close the tab in frustration. Also I don’t have as much time I used to have so you know I am not active here. But yes I miss reading the amazing stuff from you all. But I have so much to write(it’s all in my head, right now). 😉

Also today I realized I have a great camera that hasn’t been used in a while, and the batteries are on full charge for like over 2 months. Need to pick that up again and continue framing and shooting stuff. I’ll also schedule a photo post for tomorrow( I am editing a photograph as I type this *switches to LR*.
