The Window-Poem

She would stay awake
And look out of the window
She would see the mountains
And the trees

But confined she was
To the insides
A prison is what
She lived in

The window was her escape
From the prison
But lasted only for a while

She kept it a secret
For her master
If ever knew
Would take this away too

She would stay awake
And look out of the window
She would see the mountains
And the trees…

  2. The beauty of your work lies in the sheer simplicity and magick it waves on the reader as your words paint the picture. Moreover, it’s serene and that I guess is the reason why they’re timeless 🙂

  3. The poem is incomplete..

There will be a time when she gets out of the window…
No master can ever hold her back because she is already free.
